The LIV provides a comprehensive continuing professional development program consisting of seminars, workshops and conferences designed to meet the professional development needs of legal practitioners. Our program caters for practitioners at all levels from Trainees to senior partners.
CPD also incorporates the LIV Accredited Specialisation program.
CPD Rules and Requirements
All legal practitioners who hold a Victorian Practising Certificate are required to complete 10 hours of CPD activities every CPD year (even if the holder practises interstate or overseas). The CPD year runs from 1 April to 31 March following. New CPD Rules 2008 commence operation on 1 April 2008. More on CPD Rules and Requirements.

Online Learning
Online learning provides practitioners with a flexible alternative to gain CPD units in the CPD compulsory fields of Professional Skills and Practice and Business Management.
These interactive programs have been designed to enable access to CPD from the workplace or home, 7 days a week for ease of access and convenience.
Teleconferencing
The LIV provides alternative for practitioners who are unable to attend our seminars in person, by offering attendance via teleconference as a useful and easy option.
CPD Record
When attending LIV CPD education activities your CPD units will be automatically added to your CPD record. You can check and update your CPD record when you login to your My LIV member portal.
Once logged in, click on the My LIV tab in the main menu bar to access your My LIV member profile page. Click on 'Review your CPD Points' link to go to your CPD record.
