Rights of the Child Forum

What are the rights of Australian Children?
Can we be proud of their health and wellbeing?

The Rights of the Child forum will explore inter-generational justice in three different contexts. The health of Australian children today will be explored with a view to maximizing their life chances tomorrow. The culture and conditions in which indigenous children find themselves will be addressed so that we might better understand what needs to be done now to ensure that their present disadvantage is not perpetuated in the future. International law with respect to inter-generational justice and children’s rights will be considered to determine what more might be done in Australia to ensure that these rights are better protected as society moves forward.
