New Applicants Making an application for membership - what should you download?
*Please note that, when you submit your Application, attached to this will be the Application itself and all of your supporting materials.

Existing members Making an application for upgrading of membership - what should you download?
Documentation submitted to the Institute with your original Application need not be included again; however, you will need to include details of studies completed since submission of your original Application, and supporting reference letters covering the intervening period. In respect to upgrading to Fellow, your supporting reference letters must address relevant periods of employment at Senior Law Clerk level.
Application fee The application fee which should accompany the Application is $55.00 (gst inclusive). However, if you are a full-time student, your application fee is $27.50 (gst inclusive).
Please note that, in some instances, the application fee is not required: for example, for delegates attending the annual Law Institute of Victoria Support Staff Conference or the annual Queensland Law Society Support Staff Summit, who apply within a certain time. Existing members seeking upgrading are not required to forward an application fee.
Statutory Declaration The Statutory Declaration accompanies the Membership Application. Applicants should choose the Declaration which applies to their jurisdiction.
