Closed: Weekends, public holidays

Note that LIV library services are only available to LIV members and members of the legal profession. Members of the public are able to access legal library resources at Victoria Legal Aid

Borrowing

Library borrowing is available to practising full members, associate members, and honorary members. The standard loan period is 14 days, with a single one week extension available unless the item has been reserved by another member.

Items borrowed are the responsibility of the member. A replacement and administration charge per item will be payable on items not returned within three weeks of the due date.


Legal Research Assistance

Requests for research assistance can be submitted using the electronic request option under 'Research Services' on the left hand side menu. The request screen includes full details of our fees. Please feel free to telephone the library if your request is urgent, or if you require further information about our services.


Legal Research Training

The LIV offers regular Legal Research Training sessions through its Professional Development Program. Customised training is also available for small groups in regional and suburban locations, or at the LIV library if required. Please contact us at library@liv.asn.au for further details.
