Run by the LIV Sports Law Committee, the Sports Law Interest Group provides legal practitioners with the opportunity to become engaged with like minded individuals who each share a love for sport.
The Sports Law Interest Group provides informative and educational discussion forums on current sporting issues.
Topics include but are not limited to:
- Issues regarding selection and policies (including appeals & hearings relating to selection and Olympic selection cases)
- Drug testing and doping violations
- The regulating of athlete’s off-field conduct
- Political comment by athletes
- Issues relating to freedom of speech
- Issues arising from sports administration
