About Commercial Law Section
The Commercial Law Section keeps solicitors informed of changes to legislation affecting commercial law and is relevant to all solicitors working in this area. When necessary, the Section will lobby the government for legislative reform.
The sections sponsor continuing legal education activities, conferences, newsletters and a wide variety of expert sub-committees.
Objectives
- Assist in furthering the objectives of the LIV
- Advise the LIV Council
- Provide a forum for discussion and continuing education
- Stimulate the interest and participation of lawyers in commercial law
- Foster links with non-lawyer organisations, with regard to the conduct of commerce and business in the community
