About International Law Section
Previously the International Law Committee, this Section supports members with diverse legal experience across three main focus areas, including International Trade and Commerce Law, International Arbitration Law and Public International Law.
Objectives
- Provide a practice-orientated forum to identify, discuss and analyse international law issues that arise in members’ day to day practice
- Provide for the exchange of international legal information and practical solutions internally within the ILC and the LIV and with external organisations and government
- Provide CPD events, which meet the professional development needs of practitioners working in international law
- Monitor domestic and international legislative changes and court decisions
- Conduct research and prepare written submissions to the LIV Council on issues of international law
