The Green Practice Project
- The Green Practice Project aims to promote awareness and uptake of green initiatives in the legal profession by networking and training lawyers interested in sustainability to improve their professional development and enhance innovation.
- The project seeks to improve the sustainability within the profession by enabling lawyers with a commitment to sustainability to be more effective in their workplaces.
- This will be achieved by:
- improving networks through public events;
- development of education and resources; and
- delivery of relevant skills training
How to become a Green Practice
A key aim of the GP Project was to design a document that identified areas which lawyers and firms can easily develop within their practice to reduce their impact on the environment.
The materials aim to do this, and to provide some motivational and organisational tips to assist in making sustainable change.

Following the launch of the Green Practice Project, the Young Lawyers' Community Issues Committee is hosting this series of forums to provide attendees with a more in-depth look at implementing sustainable practices in the workplace. More information (pdf)
Green Practice Column
