Walk - 1 lap of the Tan Track (4 km)

Registration/BBQ area

The registration tent and BBQ are both located in the area behind the Sidney Myer Music Bowl. The lane into this area is located on Linlithgow Avenue close to where it intersects with Alexandra Avenue.

Rules of race

1. All participants must collect their bibs and register between 5.30pm and 6.15pm.
2. Runners will start at 6.30pm.
3. Walkers will start at 6.37pm.
4. All walkers have to walk on the right side of the Tan Track to allow runners to run past easily.
5. Walkers must NOT run during the race.
6. There are race marshalls positioned along the Tan Track. Any walkers found running will be disqualified from the race.

Information about running teams of three

All individual runners can enter as a running team of three for an opportunity to win the Hartog Berkley Shoe Trophy. Each team can either enter as a team of 3 solicitors, 3 barristers or a mix of legal staff.

To enter, complete a running team registration form (pdf) and make sure that you've completed all the steps outlined, including registering each of the 3 members for the Legal Fun Run & Walk.

Terms and conditions of entry
1. Registrations must be made online via the Fun Run and Walk registration website.
2. You may enter as an individual for the run or walk; and/or part of a team of 3 if you are participating in the run. Please note: There are no teams for the walk.
3. Runners may only be a member of one team. All running team entrants will also qualify as individual entrants.
4. Running teams can be of mixed or the same sex and must consist of:
a. 3 solicitors of any age from any firm (including articled clerks); or
b. 3 barristers of any age from any list (including bar readers); or
c. 3 people of any age and from any other legal group (including legal recruiters, students, court staff etc)
5. The finishing time for each running team will be the total of each team member’s individual times.
6. The organiser’s decision on team prizes is final.
7. The LIV will only accept cancellations made on the registration website at least 7 days prior to the event. Refunds will only be issued following the cancellation if you make the request in writing via email to events@liv.asn.au at least 7 days prior to the event.
