  • Full Description

More than 1000 lawyers in Victoria are now accredited as specialists through the LIV. The first of its kind in Australia, the LIV Accredited Specialisation Program provides members of the legal profession and the community with a meaningful way of determining expertise in a lawyer.

Becoming an accredited specialist gives you a platform to differentiate yourself from your fellow practitioners, demonstrating your particular competence and enhanced skill level.

This complimentary information evening will provide an overview of the program to family lawyers considering taking up specialisation in 2017.

  • Presenters

Katie Miller, Chair, Specialisation Board, Victoria Legal Aid

Elissa Cohan, Manager, Accredited Specialisation, Law Institute of Victoria

  • Learning Outcomes

If you’re a family lawyer with more than four years’ post-admission experience, this session will provide you with:

    • valuable information on the application and assessment process
    • course expectations and resources for the 2017 program
    • an opportunity to hear from the recently accredited specialists through a frank Q&A discussion
    • the chance to join a discussion group with new specialists and Advisory Committee members.
