  • Full Description

The LIV is excited to partner with Julian Morrow, from The Chaser and The Checkout, to bring his one-of-its-kind CPD game show to lawyers in Ballarat.

Specifically designed to satisfy the requirements for 1.5 CPD point in Ethics and Professional Responsibility, this fun event will be jam-packed with information about recent developments and issues in the field of Ethics and Professional Responsibility – unconventionally packaged in the form of a game show.

The new and original format of Ethical Pursuit draws not only on Julian Morrow’s experience as a lawyer but also as the creator of other educational quiz formats such as “Question Time and “The Chaser’s Media Circus”.

Learn, play, eat and drink as we make legal ethics what it’s never been before – fun!

Food and drinks are included in the registration fee.

  • Host

Julian Morrow. After working as an employment and industrial lawyer for several years, Julian sabotaged his legal career by co-founding the allegedly fortnightly, allegedly satirical newspaper The Chaser in 1999. He now works as part of the Chaser creative team and, for his sins, its Managing Director, as well as working independently in the media. He hopes one day to leave comedy and the media to pursue his dream of becoming a lawyer again.

  • Learning Outcomes

By attending this session, you will:

    • Recognise situations in legal practice giving rise to ethical dilemmas
    • Demonstrate awareness of legal ethics in an unconventional way
    • Collaborate with members of the legal profession
