LIV members are invited to take a guided tour of the modern new law library located on the LIV Members Floor at 140 William Street. Learn more about the large collection of hard copy and online legal material and services available, as well as e-resources that members can access remotely, before enjoying time to browse and ask questions from qualified librarians.

As spaces are limited, registration is essential.

  • LIV Library Tours

    The LIV Library tour will help LIV members familiarise themselves with the library’s physical space in our new premises.

    The session will also cover how to:

    • Request items using the library catalogue
    • Loan and reserve new materials
    • Locate CCH and Lexis Nexis eBooks for remote access use
    • Locate Lexis Red Looseleaf service for remote access use


  • About the LIV Library

    The LIV Library is located on Level 13, 140 William Street Vic 3000
    Our opening hours are Monday–Friday, 8.30am–5.30pm


    Library borrowing is available to practising full members, associate members, and honorary members. The standard loan period is 14 days, with a single one-week extension available unless the item has been reserved by another member. Items can be collected from the library or posted out via DX and postal mail.

    The library catalogue allows you to view what material the library holds. This includes textbooks, seminar papers, law reports and multimedia.
