  • About our Charity Partner

For nearly 20 years Whitelion has supported thousands of young Australians to reach their full potential.

Whitelion supports youths of ages 10-25 whom are at risk of encountering the juvenile justice system. It does this through an integrated community outreach program in schools and on the street helping young people out of crisis and into housing. Assisting them to seek employment and vocational pathways, and providing mentoring to help young people stay in, and finish school.

In 2017 alone, Whitelion supported 2,394 young people, with 372 mentoring matches, placing 110 young people in jobs, and delivered 80 prevention workshops in schools and in the community.

This has been achieved through a belief in an Australia where every young person has an equal opportunity to thrive.

  • LIV Social Event Policy

    Social Events Policy

The LIV Young Lawyers (YL) welcomes your participation in all social events held throughout the year. The YL aims to help facilitate opportunities for members to connect. YL recognises the importance of all members enjoying our activities in a safe and collegiate environment.

It is important that all members and attendees exercise care and consideration for other patrons at the venues where events are held. We expect members to demonstrate appropriate standards of personal, social and professional behaviour, including but not limited to the responsible consumption of alcohol.

The LIV is aware that some external social events, are arranged informally and are externally hosted, which includes informal post-LIV event gatherings of attendees or parties. YL does not run or take any responsibility for post-LIV event activities. Members should bear this in mind in case any personal, safety or security issues arise, and ensure that they engage with venue staff where appropriate.
