  • Presenter

    Tasia Mitsinikos, Training and Research Librarian, Law Institute of Victoria

    Tasia has worked in legal and specialist libraries, such as the Department of Justice, for 17 years. Her work at the LIV includes assisting members with research requests. She also conducts group and individual training sessions on different aspects of legal research, including case law and legislation.

  • Learning Outcomes

    At the end of this session, you will know how to:

    • search for cases and their subsequent consideration
    • find cases considering a section of an act
    • search for authorised, up-to-date legislation and superseded legislation
    • locate extrinsic material such as explanatory memoranda and second reading speeches
    • obtain freely available journal articles.
