This two part series on trauma and resilience explores how to practice in a trauma informed way for better experiences and outcomes for both clients and legal professionals. It is recommended that professionals attend both seminars.

This session gives an overview of Trauma Informed Practice and focuses on understanding how trauma may impact on client presentations and how legal professionals can increase their skills in managing these presentations.

  • Presenter:

    Ursula Benstead is a psychologist with over twenty five years’ experience in the field of trauma and vicarious traumatisation. For twenty years she has assisted many government and community legal services to build trauma informed workplaces that contribute to better client outcomes and greater employee wellbeing. She is well known for her expertise in complex trauma, sexual assault and family violence. Ursula is an experienced therapist, clinical supervisor, trainer and facilitator.
