    The promise of diverse career possibilities is what attracts many of us to study law. This session will explore the various career pathways that legal qualifications can open in State and Federal government.

    Each panelist will share their insights as to how they have successfully navigated their pathways through various government departments including the ATO, Coroners Court, Victorian Information Commissioner and Victorian Government.

    Hannah Wood, Senior Advisor to the Victorian Government

    Hannah commenced working for the Victorian Public Sector in 2013 providing legal and policy advice to Government before becoming a Ministerial advisor in 2019. During her time at the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP) she provided specialist legislation advice and led the development of a range of reforms to local government. She also was involved in providing advice for the establishment of a new unit at DELWP. Hannah has a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from Deakin University, was admitted to legal practice in 2016 and is a graduate of the 2020 Premier’s Leadership Program.

    Adrian Zuccarini, Acting Assistant Commissioner, Tax Counsel Network, Australian Taxation Office, JD Graduate

    Adrian Zuccarini is a Law Interpretation Director in the Tax Counsel Network at the Australian Taxation Office (ATO). In this role, he is responsible for identifying solutions for issues within taxation laws, its interpretation and application for the ATO’s complex cases and issues, including the Government’s JobKeeper Payment scheme. He has previously held other tax technical advisor roles within other business lines in the ATO. Adrian holds a Bachelor of Business (Honours) and Master of Laws (Juris Doctor) from Monash University and is admitted to legal practice.
