  • Full Description
    Refresh, Reflect & Reconnect
Join us for a session focused on the three Rs — Reflect, Refresh and Reconnect.
The session will start with a 60-minute Vinyasa yoga class that is set to a slow and fluid flow, suitable for all levels of practitioners. Following this, a 30-minute networking session will take place.

    Yoga
This part of the session is suitable for all. There is no need to worry about levels of experience. The aim is simply for you to join and do your best.
During the practice, we will focus on breath and move through the asana postures with a kind mind to ourselves and those around us. We will set an intention at the beginning of class for you to use as a point of centre.
This class will be a grounding and strength building practice with anatomical cues for correct practice.

    Networking
This part of session will operate as a reminder of the importance of remaining connected. It is an optional extra to the Yoga class.
We will facilitate a series of open and light discussions aimed at allowing you to reconnect with likeminded individuals. Members of the Mental Health & Wellbeing Sub-Committee of the Community Issues Committee will facilitate and be a point of contact for you.
This session is relaxed and rejuvenating — a great way to end 2021 as it is the last event put on by the Mental Health & Wellbeing Sub-Committee of the Community Issues Committee.

We look forward to seeing you there!

    Megan Cliff-Cutler

My name is Meg and I will be taking you through a virtual yoga class presented by the Mental Health and Wellbeing Subcommittee - Community Issues Committee of the LIV Young Lawyers.

I found a connection with the law through my current role at the Melbourne based, commercial litigation firm, Patrick & Associates. I am the personal assistant to the principal of the firm and have been in the role for 12 months. Outside of work, I am studying a Bachelor of Health Science part time and enjoy finding connections within my studies to my yoga practice and everyday life.

Yoga has been a part of my life for 11 years and it felt like the next logical step when I decided to finish ballet after practicing for 8 years. One of the things that I treasure most about my relationship with yoga is just how much it has developed during this time and I expect it to continue to develop going forward. No two days on your mat are the same and that is the beauty.

Regarding my accreditation, I am registered with Yoga Alliance. I am also in the process of becoming reaccredited through continued learning due to a break in teaching.
