    Tania Wolff, LIV Accredited Specialist in Criminal Law, LIV Councillor, Principal Lawyer, First Step

    Tania is a LIV accredited specialist in criminal law and appears regularly as a solicitor advocate in court. She has particular expertise in drug and alcohol related criminal offending and a commitment to advancing therapeutic jurisprudence and justice reinvestment initiatives. Since 2007, she has worked as a solicitor advocate (criminal defence) with David Grace QC. In 2012 Tania was appointed principal lawyer to First Step Legal, being the legal service attached to the First Step drug and alcohol rehabilitation clinic in St Kilda.

    Arie Freiberg AM, Emeritus Professor, Monash University

    Professor Freiberg has been a Visiting Scholar at Harvard Law School and Tel Aviv University and has served as a consultant to the Federal, Victorian, South Australian and Western Australian governments on sentencing matters, as well as the Australian and South African Law Reform Commissions. In 2002 he completed a major review of sentencing for the Victorian Attorney-General published as Pathways to Justice. In July 2004, he was appointed Chair of the Victorian Sentencing Advisory Council and in February 2013 he was appointed Chair of the Tasmanian Sentencing Advisory Council.
