    Peter Docherty is the Head of Professional Standards & Quality Assurance at the Law Institute of Victoria. Peter is a specialist in professional standards, oversight and compliance, having spent more than three decades working with professional associations, standard setters and regulators across multiple professions. He has presented in over 20 countries on professionalism, professional standards and risk management, and contributed to the design and implementation of professional associations including CPA Australia, the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC), The World Bank, The Singapore Accounting & Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA), Ministry of France (Vietnam), Financial Markets Authority (FMA) and New Zealand. He is passionate about positive regulation, good practice and the role professional associations play in providing programs, tools and resources on practice sustainability.

    Simon Libbis, Consultant, Prior Law and Subdivisions Lawyers; LIV Accredited Specialist, Property Law

    Simon Libbis is a consultant with Prior Law which incorporates his practice of Subdivisions Lawyers. He established the National Electronic Conveyancing Office, which ultimately led to the introduction of PEXA. As well as an extensive career as a specialist property lawyer, Simon has served as the Registrar of Titles of South Australia for some years. In 1994 Simon was among the first practitioners accredited by the Law Institute of Victoria as property law specialists. He is the author of a number of publications, including Conveyancing Victoria – The Ultimate Guide and Subdivisions Victoria – The Ultimate Guide.
