Antonella Terranova, Director, Castra Legal Costing
Antonella Terranova was admitted to practice in 1997. In 2010 Antonella became Co-Director and Principal of Castra Legal Costing Pty Ltd, working with a team of professionals including Andrea Sheean (Co-Director) and Thomas Iacobucci.
Since 2010 Antonella has practiced exclusively in legal costing appearing regularly in:

the Supreme Court;

the Costs Court (Callovers, Mediations, Taxations, leave applications and other applications);

the Practice Court; and
-
the Court of Appeal.
Her tasks include:

preparation of Assessment of Costs;

itemised Bills of Costs;

advices and Notices of Objections;
-
expert reports and affidavits as an expert in security for costs applications; and
-
In-House Services (in house seminars and assistance in file management to maximise efficiency and costs).
Prior to her current role, she worked in personal injury litigation for 12 years.
Antonella has been a past winner of the Law Institute of Victoria (LIV) Suburban Lawyer of the Year award and has delivered legal education for the LIV, Leo Cussens, Legalwise, the Southern Solicitors’ Group and Law Practices.
Antonella is a member of the LIV, Vice Chair of the Costs Law Executive Committee, Panel Solicitor for the LIV Member’s Advisory Panel and has sat on the Judging Panel for the Suburban Lawyer of the Year Award. Antonella is the President of the Northern Suburbs Law Association Inc. .

Romaine completed a Bachelor of Laws and a Diploma in Criminology at Monash University in 2011. She completed her Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at the Leo Cussen Institute in 2013 and was admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Victoria in early 2014.
Romaine’s pre-admission experience working as a paralegal in a suburban family and criminal law firm and an American personal injury firm was seminal.
Romaine has practiced as a Costs Lawyer in Victoria and New South Wales and is skilled across both jurisdictions. Through the opportunity to work in two discrete jurisdictions, Romaine has gained experience in a broad range of costs matters. She has a genuine interest in the complexities of commercial costs disputes and is determined to achieve the best result for her clients.
