The Eureka Trials

BottledSnail Productions re-enacted the trial of Eureka rebellion leader Timothy Hayes at the Supreme Court on 18 and 19 March. Barrister Danny Cole played defence counsel Richard Ireland (front) and barrister Adam Chernok played defence counsel Thomas Cope.

VCE Law Talks

Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission senior legal adviser Gudrun Dewey spoke to more than 250 students from Sale and surrounding areas as part of the Victoria Law Foundation’s recent Law Talks Intensive Program at Gippsland Grammar School. Representatives from the Victorian Law Reform Commission, the Magistrates’ Court, the Supreme Court, Victoria Police, the Juries Commissioner’s Office, the Gippsland Community Legal Centre and the Dispute Settlement Centre of Victoria also presented.

LIV CPD Intensive

More than 700 people attended the LIV CPD Intensive on 26-27 March.
