More than 250 young lawyers brought a little piece of the movie industry to Melbourne when the Law Institute held its “Young Lawyers’ Go to Hollywood” Ball on 6 September.

The wannabe Bogarts and Bacalls gathered at the art deco-influenced 333 Collins Street to party as their favourite stars. All proceeds from the event were donated to Hanover Welfare Service to assist their work with homeless people in Victoria. Young Lawyers’ Section manager Jacqui Boymal was delighted with the response to the event. She said everybody thoroughly enjoyed themselves and were pleased to be able to raise funds for Hanover.
