Victorian Women Lawyers (VWL) has updated its image with the relaunch of its five-year-old website.

The new-look website, launched at a membership function on 12 July, had more to offer existing members and non-members, VWL communications committee co-chair Barbara Watroba of Phillips Fox said.

Ms Watroba said members could now download the VWL’s quarterly publication Portia, join and renew memberships online and hear about the latest reports and events organised or supported by VWL.

Non-members could learn all about VWL, as well as access publications such as past reports, submissions and speeches.

The VWL annual members and guests evening, where the website was launched, was held at The Apartment. About 100 people attended.

VWL, a voluntary association that promotes and protects the interests of women lawyers and engages with legal and social justice issues that affect women, has about 500 members.

The VWL website can be accessed at For further information, contact or ph 9607 9390.
