Advocates over the Moot

Cite as: September 2012 86 (09) LIJ, p.13.

The 2012 LIV and Hanover Welfare Services Mooting Competition 2012 raised $42,500 to support the work of Hanover, the leading Melbourne-based community organisation for Victorians experiencing homelessness or housing crisis.

The competition allows LIV Young Lawyer Section (YLS) members to participate in an advocacy competition on behalf of their firm, working in a team and increasing their skills as new lawyers.

The overall winners were the team from King & Wood Mallesons, the Allens representatives were runners-up and Michael Keks, of Allens, was voted the best advocate.
