LawNews

Up-to-the-minute news about the law, the courts, the profession, government, the LIV and other legal stakeholders goes out to members in an email every weekday around lunchtime. This email will feature links to paywall content from The AgeThe Australian, Australian Financial Review, Herald Sun and other mainstream media, with one click on a link and no login required.

LawNews also includes valuable insights and analysis from leaders of the profession through blogs, articles, podcasts and video interviews.

LIV CEO Nerida Wallace said LawNews is a valuable, innovative service for members. When she was practising, clients would regularly have queries in relation to legal articles they had seen reported in the media.

The service is free for all members of the LIV except student members. Students receive a monthly Student Edition which provides them links to relevant articles on career development and getting through law school.
