About the Legal Profession Uniform Law

In 2015 there were many important changes to legal practice in Victoria as a result of the introduction of the Legal Profession Uniform Law. The LIV has produced a Legal Profession Uniform Law Guide (PDF), fact sheets, checklists and precedents to help you understand how you and your law practice might be affected.

These webpages also link to a number of other useful resources produced by the Legal Services Board + Commissioner, the Legal Services Council, the Law Council of Australia and the Law Society of New South Wales.

The LIV will continue to keep you informed on how the new law affects you and your practice, and we invite you to regularly check the LIV’s Legal Profession Uniform Law webpages.
