There are just six practising Indigenous barristers in Victoria. Two others have moved interstate to take on other challenges. All want to build sustainable practices, with a common goal: getting briefed.

The six junior barristers represent a tiny percentage of the state’s 1900 barristers. And lest you think Victoria is dragging its feet on Indigenous representation at the Bar, think again. Victoria has the most Indigenous barristers of any of the Australian state Bars.
