New study reveals concerning data on lawyers' retirement plans

Macquarie’s 2011 Legal Benchmarking Survey has identified that 30% of legal principals surveyed are desirous of retiring within the next three years. The “Mood, Life & Money – Macquarie Insights” study, released this week, found that while more than 25 per cent of business owners recognise the value in engaging with a specialist to help them build their business, fewer than one in 10 actively seeks out specialist advice. Succession planning is an issue that is at the forefront for the LIV this year.
