The LIV recognises the important role that mentors play in the professional growth and development of legal professionals. Since 2009 the LIV has been linking experienced lawyers with other lawyers seeking professional development and support.

In 2017 the LIV will be launching a new Matched Mentoring Program with a limited number of places. By participating in this program, members will have the opportunity to be matched by the LIV to a mentor who is likely to be the best fit for their needs.

We are seeking expressions of interest from members who hold a current Victorian practising certificate and have at least five years’ experience to become mentors in the program, and from members who hold a current Victorian practising certificate have between three and five years’ post admission experience who would like to become mentees.

The program is set to run from March 2017 and December 2017, and will cost $250 (ex GST) for mentees. Mentors are volunteers and will participate at no cost.

Applications will formally open in January 2017. If you are interested in finding out more about this exciting new initiative, please contact Claudia Margach at mentor@liv.asn.au.
