The Buddy Project:
The Buddy Project is also an initiative of LIV Young Lawyers that looks to pair YL members (new solicitors with three to five years of post-admission experience) with students (penultimate and final year) and non-attached graduates.
The Project is an informal mentoring program linking law students and recent graduates with new solicitors to assist in developing networks and professional skills to enhance their career in the law.
The program provides law students with a direct connection to the legal profession as well as one-on-one guidance for career planning.
Mentors will benefit through the opportunity to share their experiences with mentees.
There is no fee associated with this program, and it will run April 2017 to March 2018. Applications to join the program close Friday, 3 March 2017.
