Voting is now open for the annual Law Institute of Victoria Council Elections.

The LIV Council represents the LIV, its members and the Victorian legal profession, it ensures that the LIV grows its influence while maintaining an effective corporate governance structure. Council directors are responsible for upholding the principles of integrity, transparency and accountability central to the governance of the LIV. This year there are 15 outstanding candidates vying for a position on the LIV Council.

Individual profiles with more information about each candidate can be found via www.liv.asn.au/CouncilElections. The LIV strongly encourages eligible members to vote for those they feel will best represent the Victorian legal profession in 2019.

There are currently seven vacancies on the LIV Council – six of the vacancies carry three year terms and one vacancy carries a two year term. As in previous years, the election will be conducted online. Voting closes 5pm, Wednesday 14 November. Successful candidates will be announced at the LIV Annual General Meeting on Wednesday 21 November.
