New practice notes affecting litigation in the Supreme Court of Victoria came into effect on 30 January 2017. Practice Note SC Gen 11 sets out the practice in relation to matters in the Costs Court, replacing previous Costs Court practice notes. Recent changes to the listing of party party taxations are set out in the practice note, which details the process and requirements as follows. The commencement of a proceeding in the Costs Court requires the filing of a Summons for Taxation, a bill of costs, copies of disbursement invoices claimed, certification of payment of disbursements,1 a Party Party Taxation Information Form,2 a copy order/judgment/release and payment of the required fee. Service of the filed documents upon the costs respondent is required. The Party Party Taxation Information Form must be completed by the practitioner for the costs applicant and served upon all parties. The information required includes:
