Mentoring Q&A

Mentoring Q&A

By Law Institute Journal

Mentor Zana Bytheway Why be a mentor? With age comes experience and a reflective, considered approach to work and life in general. Being a mentor gives me the opportunity to provide support and guidance to my mentee which is something I would have welcomed when I was starting out. Sharing experiences, especially challenging times, means a mentee doesn’t feel so alone and is comforted by the fact that their mentor has been through and has overcome some difficult times. I think that this is helpful to a mentee and rewarding for the mentor.
