Complaints and concerns about judicial officers will be investigated by the Judicial Commission of Victoria (JCV), which starts operating on 3 July. The JCV is an independent statutory corporation established under the Judicial Commission of Victoria Act 2016 to investigate complaints about the conduct or capacity of judicial officers or VCAT members. It provides an accessible and transparent complaints process whose aim is to ensure public confidence in courts and VCAT is maintained.
