The LIV is invited to provide up to six nominations of suitably qualified candidates to be considered for appointment to the SRO/LIV Quarterly Revenue Liaison Committee.

Expressions of Interest will be considered by the LIV CEO and a qualified panel. The Commissioner of State Revenue will appoint candidates to sit on the Committee.

The Committee is a new forum established by the Commissioner of State Revenue to:

  • discuss emerging tax and legal interpretative issues identified by LIV members
  • pursue opportunities to collaborate on the implementation of new revenue legislation
  • seek support for, and contributions to, the SRO's Revenue Rulings program and the SRO's transition towards increased provision of website guidance materials for practitioners
  • facilitate the regular exchange of views on revenue issues, systems administration innovations and service delivery processes that impact legal practitioners
  • receive feedback on LIV members' interactions with the SRO
  • seek assistance in the design of business systems to best support current legal practices as the SRO transitions to an increasingly digital service delivery environment
  • seek assistance in ensuring LIV members are fully informed and up to date on significant Victorian revenue legislative, interpretative and practice changes

The Committee will be chaired by the Executive Director of the Policy, Advisory & Legal Services Division, SRO.

Applicants will be assessed based on specific criteria located here and general criteria located here.  To apply, please provide supporting details and a copy of your current CV to CEO@liv.asn.au. The closing date for applications is Friday 27 January.
