The Law Institute of Victoria (LIV) provided input on the possible revision of the costs disclosure thresholds contained in the Legal Profession Uniform Law Application Act 2014.

The LIV is of the view that of the options proposed, Option 6 ought to be adopted on the basis that both consumers and providers of legal services would benefit from harmonising the regulatory obligations applicable in the Uniform Law regulated jurisdictions with those contained in those jurisdictions not currently regulated by the Uniform Law.
