The LIV has made 50 recommendations in its formal submission to the Royal Commission into Victoria's Mental Health System.

The LIV encouraged the Commission to take a holistic approach to reforming Victoria's mental health system, including housing, drug and alcohol treatment, employment and access to justice reform.

The LIV's submission highlights how the current lack of appropriate resourcing of mental health and support services is resulting in a disproportionate entanglement with Victoria's criminal justice system.

You can read the LIV submission here.
