How to improve your time management skills

How to improve your time management skills

By Melissa Lirosi

Time Management

Whether you are a student or a newly admitted solicitor, managing time effectively is essential to a successful work day and a balanced life. The ability to maximise productivity while in the office (at home or at work), prioritise tasks and keep on top of due dates can mean the difference between meeting a deadline with ease and burning the midnight oil to get that letter of advice out. If you want a long and rewarding career, time management techniques should be an essential part of your daily routine. While university goes a long way to preparing students for life as a lawyer, essential workplace skills can sometimes be left to on-the-job training (more accurately described as trial and error). But time management is a skill that can be learned and it’s worth investing the effort to improve your efficiency and productivity in the office.
