Out and about

Out and about

By Andrea Samardzija

Socialising for young lawyers doesn’t have to revolve around drinks – treat yourself to some alternatives.

This year the LIV Young Lawyers is focusing on wellbeing. While drinks after work are a great way to socialise and network, we’re switching things up to benefit your social life and your health. The YL Social Committee will review our favourite cafes and recreational activities with a few cheeky treats along the way.

673 Bourke Street
With great coffee, yummy food and the cafe’s motto “We give a fork”, you know you’ll love this place. A seasonal menu focuses on nourishment so you know you’ll get a good meal, and we can’t rave enough about the coffee (it’ll get you through any tough day). Kinfolk uses sustainable produce and distributes profits to partner charities such as YGAP. So go on, get to Kinfolk – you’ll not only be doing something good for yourself.

Raw Trader

10 Sutherland Street
What if you could have your cake and eat it too? Well at Raw Trader that dream is reality. It specialises in healthy sweet treats – dessert without the guilt: acai bowls, slices, energy balls, icecream and cake. Personal favourite: Turkish delight truffles. So when 3.30-itis hits, go for a stroll and treat yourself.
