To make informed and balanced decisions, government lawyers must carefully evaluate multiple dimensions in their roles, including:
· Compliance with relevant legislation and regulations
· Navigating political implications without compromising legal principles
· Balancing the interests of government agencies with broader state or national interests
· Adhering to high ethical standards while avoiding conflicts of interest?
· Balancing confidentiality with transparency and accountabilit
· Serving the public and promoting the common good.
And all of this while operating within budgetary constraints and with limited resources.
In this session, an experienced panel reflect on these issues nearly two years after the Robodebt Report and discuss what we have learned from these findings.
