The LIV is my link to the wider profession—whether across south-west Victoria, in other regional areas, or in the Melbourne CBD. I believe it is vital for lawyers to be reminded that the profession is far broader than the bubble they are often enveloped within. The LIV, through its regular advocacy and information sharing, helps achieve this. Attending professional development sessions also provides me with perspectives from all corners of the sector, which I find invaluable.
