Connecting people with the legal profession

The Law Institute of Victoria (LIV) is the peak membership organisation for solicitors in Victoria.

We have a range of resources for the Victorian public to help them access the right people, services and support to help with legal issues.  Please note that the LIV is not a legal firm and does not provide legal advice.

The areas below provides the public a pathway to access resources to support you with your legal matter. These include the Find Your Lawyer Referral Service, through which you can get referrals to relevant law firms who offer a free 30 minute consultation.

You will also find below helpful links to resources and additional practitioner directories, including to specialists who have been accredited by the Law Institute of Victoria. Find out more about Accredited Specialists .
