Looking up family

Briefs

Cite as: May 2011 85(5) LIJ, p.17

Family law practitioners and other professionals mixed business and pleasure at the recent launch of the 2011 LIV Partners in Family Matters, a business directory of service providers.

The directory lists psychologists, therapists, counsellors, mediators, property advisers and valuers, accountants, financial advisers and other lawyers who family lawyers may require in the course of offering a complete service to clients.

Over 130 people attended the 31 March networking event at Saint & Rouge Public House & Kitchen in Little Collins Street.

The event was designed to help family law practitioners and other professionals involved in family matters develop ongoing working relationships.

The annual directory is an initiative of the LIV Junior Family Lawyers working group.

Group member and Lampe Family Lawyers solicitor Matthew Hall said the event helped build and maintain a professional network between attendees.

Throughout the year there are a number of events and educations activities planned to reinforce these working relationships.

Partners in Family Matters was distributed at the networking event and is also available online.
