The LIV judicial mentoring program is back by popular demand. Judges, magistrates and registrars from the Supreme, County, Family and Magistrates’ Courts have made themselves available to mentor law graduates and new lawyers. About 80 mentees from almost 60 firms and organisations have signed up to the program. Mentees are placed in small groups to meet regularly and informally with the mentors in Melbourne and regional areas including Bendigo, Ballarat, Shepparton and Geelong. “The LIV recognises the importance of inspiring and encouraging young lawyers to pursue fulfilling careers in the law and remain active within the legal profession,” LIV president Belinda Wilson said.
