Justice Chris Maxwell has a message for law firms paying male lawyers more than female lawyers for the same or equivalent work; please explain. “I want to say to legal employers, if you are paying men and women differently for the same or equivalent work, you need to admit that you are doing it, or find out if you are by doing a pay gap analysis, and then you need to explain to your employees what the justification is,” the Court of Appeal president said. “If on examination the only difference is that she’s a woman a he’s a man, then the answer is pretty obvious.
