The LIV’s submission to the Department of Premier and Cabinet on the Community Consultation on IBAC, the Victorian Ombudsman and the Auditor-General addresses all three discussion papers. The submission notes the importance of a broad-scale review of Victoria’s integrity system with a focus on the following key issues: consistent follow the dollar powers; a principled approach to powers and protections; the importance of independent funding; accessibility to the general public and information sharing between the bodies; and highlighting the integration of human rights as part of the integrity system.
