We are delighted to announce the LIV Young Lawyers Executive Committee for 2018.

Incoming 2018 YL president Brendan Lacota is the principal lawyer at Moonee Valley Legal Service and is a current LIV Councillor. He has a strong commitment to enhancing access to justice for the community through innovative service delivery and technology, and is an advocate for human centred design in legal services.

With a desire to advance and upskill the lawyers of tomorrow, Brendan, together with incoming YL vice-president Julianna Marshall, will lead a committed and diverse team of committee chairs and representatives to deliver a fantastic year of events, activities and advocacy for the membership.

“This year is an exciting one for YL as we celebrate its 40th anniversary. YL has a proud history of helping to shape the future leaders of the legal profession and I look forward to continuing its tradition serving the newest members of the legal profession” says Mr Lacota.

“Addressing wellbeing, gender pay equality, and a rapidly changing legal profession are key issues for our members. We’re excited to lead the way on these important issues, ensuring that tomorrow’s lawyers are well prepared for the future of legal practice.”
