Membership of the Law Institute's Property Law Committee over the past 15 years has assisted me to keep ahead of changes in the law and changes to the requirements of the authorities with which we deal on a daily basis. It has also enabled me to have input on proposed legislative and administrative changes - and sometimes to help steer a more practical outcome. I would recommend membership of LIV committees to all practitioners.

Principal Lawyer, Aitken Partners LIV 2024 PELS Property Law Committee Member
I have been a member of LIV for over 25 years. I am appreciative of the support LIV has given me and the firm, including CPD, and it has been my privilege to contribute to various conferences as well as the Law Institute Journal.
— Tim Graham —
Partner, Bugden Allen Graham Lawyers; President, Australian College of Strata Lawyers Member Dispute Resolution Committee & Property Law Committee Member
I’ve been involved with the LIV for many years. The institute supported me in my growth as a junior lawyer and is still very relevant to me now as a senior practitioner and accredited specialist. I’d encourage all Victorian lawyers to take advantage of the services offered by the institute and to get involved.
— Nathanael Kitingan AccS(ComLit) —
Managing Principal Lawyer (Melbourne), Macpherson Kelley LIV Litigation Executive Committee Member
As a practitioner working in a small firm, being a member of the LIV helps with regular updates about the changes happening in the law. The law is constantly evolving and the LIV is at the forefront to keep practitioners informed of the legal changes. I have been a LIV for over a decade. I have enjoyed attending CPD events, the opportunity to choose from a range of seminars, reading [Law Institute Journals], reading ethical committee guidelines, and accessing courts using my LIV membership card.
